Vangent
Vangent was a private company that provided information management and strategic business process outsourcing services to the U.S. federal and international governments. It was acquired by General Dynamics Information Technology in 2011.

Vangent was formed in 2005 as a spin-off from Pearson PLC. The company was initially named NCS Pearson, Inc. before it was renamed to Vangent, Inc. in 2007. In 2011, Vangent was acquired by General Dynamics Information Technology for $960 million.
Services[edit | edit source]
Vangent provided a range of services including strategic consulting, systems integration, and managed services. The company's services were used by various federal agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, and the Department of Defense.
Acquisition by General Dynamics[edit | edit source]
In 2011, General Dynamics Information Technology acquired Vangent for $960 million. The acquisition was aimed at expanding General Dynamics' capabilities in health informatics and data analytics.
