Vienetta

History[edit | edit source]
Vienetta was first introduced by Walls in the UK in 1982. The product was created by Kevin Hillman, a development manager at the company, and Ian Butcher, a product developer. The idea was to create a luxurious ice cream product that could be served as a dessert at dinner parties. The name "Vienetta" is derived from "Viennese", a term used to describe things from Vienna, Austria, which is known for its rich, indulgent desserts.
Description[edit | edit source]
Vienetta is made by layering vanilla ice cream and thin sheets of chocolate to create a ruffled, wave-like effect. The product is typically sold in a box and is sliced to serve. The original version of Vienetta is made with vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate, but there are also other variations available, such as mint and strawberry.
