Vilimoni Delasau (born 12 July 1977) is a former Fijian rugby union player. He played as a wing and was known for his speed and agility on the field. Delasau has represented Fiji in various international competitions, including the Rugby World Cup.

Vilimoni Delasau was born in Nadi, Fiji. He grew up in a rugby-loving family and started playing rugby at a young age. Delasau attended Ratu Navula College, where he honed his skills and showcased his talent in school-level competitions.

Rugby Career[edit | edit source]

Delasau's professional rugby career began when he joined the Fiji Sevens team. His impressive performances in the World Rugby Sevens Series earned him a spot in the national team. Delasau made his debut for the Fiji national rugby union team in 2000.

Club Career[edit | edit source]

Delasau played for several clubs during his career. He had stints with Stade Montois, ASM Clermont Auvergne, and SU Agen in the Top 14 league in France. He also played for the Highlanders in the Super Rugby competition.

Delasau was a key player for Fiji in the 2003 and 2007 Rugby World Cups. He was known for his try-scoring ability and played a crucial role in many of Fiji's victories. Delasau's performance in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, where Fiji reached the quarter-finals, was particularly notable.
