Vitals are the basic body functions that are necessary for life. These include heart rate, respiration, body temperature, and blood pressure. Monitoring these vital signs can provide important information about a person's physiological condition.

The heart rate is the number of times the heart beats per minute. It can be affected by factors such as exercise, stress, illness, and medication. A normal heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute.

Respiration refers to the process of inhaling and exhaling. The rate of respiration can indicate a person's overall health and can be affected by factors such as exercise, stress, and illness. A normal respiration rate for adults is between 12 and 20 breaths per minute.

Body Temperature[edit | edit source]

Body temperature is a measure of the body's ability to generate and get rid of heat. It can be affected by factors such as environment, exercise, and illness. A normal body temperature for adults is around 98.6°F (37°C).

Blood Pressure[edit | edit source]

Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries. It can be affected by factors such as exercise, stress, diet, and medication. A normal blood pressure for adults is less than 120/80 mmHg.
