WECT is a television station licensed to Wilmington, North Carolina, United States. It is an affiliate of the NBC television network and is owned by Gray Television. WECT broadcasts on digital channel 6 (VHF) and serves the Cape Fear region of southeastern North Carolina.

WECT first signed on the air on April 9, 1954, as WMFD-TV, the first television station in Wilmington. It was originally owned by Atlantic Telecasting Corporation and was a primary affiliate of NBC, although it also carried programming from CBS, ABC, and DuMont Television Network during its early years. In 1958, the station changed its call letters to WECT, which stands for "Wilmington's Eastern Carolina Television."
In 1964, WECT became a sole NBC affiliate when WWAY signed on as the ABC affiliate for the area. Over the years, WECT has undergone several ownership changes, with its current owner, Gray Television, acquiring the station in 2017.

WECT offers a variety of programming, including local news, weather, and sports coverage. The station produces several hours of local newscasts each day, with a focus on community events and issues affecting the Wilmington area. WECT also airs NBC network programming, including popular shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, and The Voice.

WECT broadcasts in digital on VHF channel 6. The station completed its transition from analog to digital broadcasts on June 12, 2009, as part of the federally mandated transition to digital television in the United States.
