Wall's (meat)

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Wall's (meat) is a British food brand that is owned by the multinational conglomerate, Kerry Group. The brand is primarily known for its production of sausages, pork pies, and other meat products.

History[edit | edit source]

The Wall's brand was established in 1786 by Richard Wall, who initially started the business as a butcher shop in London. The company expanded its operations in the 19th century, introducing new products such as sausages and pork pies. In 1922, Wall's decided to diversify its product range by venturing into the production of ice cream. This decision was made in response to the seasonal nature of the meat business, with ice cream sales expected to offset the decline in meat sales during the summer months.

Products[edit | edit source]

Wall's is renowned for its wide range of meat products. The brand's product line includes sausages, pork pies, bacon, and sliced meats. Wall's sausages are particularly popular in the UK, with the brand offering a variety of flavours and sizes to cater to different consumer preferences.

Ownership[edit | edit source]

In 1994, Wall's was acquired by the Kerry Group, an Ireland-based multinational food company. Under the Kerry Group's ownership, Wall's has continued to thrive and expand its product range.
