Washakie County, Wyoming
Washakie County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wyoming. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,533. Its county seat is Worland. The county was created in 1911 and named after Chief Washakie of the Shoshone tribe.

Washakie County is located in the central part of Wyoming, with its northern edge bordering Montana. The county has a total area of 2,243 square miles, of which 2,238 square miles is land and 4.9 square miles is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2010 Census, there were 8,533 people, 3,616 households, and 2,400 families residing in the county. The population density was 3.8 inhabitants per square mile.

Washakie Medical Center[edit | edit source]
Washakie Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Worland, Wyoming. It provides a range of services including emergency care, surgery, radiology, and rehabilitation. The hospital is part of the Banner Health system, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare systems in the country.
