Waverly Hills Sanatorium is a former sanatorium located in Louisville, Kentucky, originally opened in 1910 to accommodate tuberculosis patients. Louisville, due to its swampy grounds, was particularly hard hit. In response, a wooden two-story hospital was initially opened in 1910. However, due to the increasing number of tuberculosis patients, a larger facility was needed. Thus, construction of the current five-story building began in 1924 and was completed in 1926.

The sanatorium was designed to house up to 400 patients and was equipped with the latest medical technologies of the time. It featured large, airy rooms to provide plenty of fresh air and sunlight, which were believed to be beneficial for the treatment of tuberculosis. The facility also included a children's pavilion, as tuberculosis affected people of all ages.

As the epidemic waned with the introduction of the tuberculosis vaccine and antibiotic treatments in the 1940s, the need for such large tuberculosis hospitals decreased. Waverly Hills was closed as a tuberculosis hospital in 1961 and was repurposed over the years, serving as a geriatric hospital until it was finally closed in 1981. Since its closure, the building has been largely abandoned, with various plans for redevelopment being discussed but rarely implemented.
