- Waynesburg is a borough in and the county seat of Greene County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located about 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh. The population was 4,176 at the 2010 census.

- The town of Waynesburg was founded in 1796 by Revolutionary War hero, General Mad Anthony Wayne. The town grew rapidly in the 19th century due to the discovery of coal in the surrounding area.
