}} West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is an NHS foundation trust that operates the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England. It serves the population of west Suffolk and covers an area of approximately 600 square miles with a population of around 280,000 people.[1]
The trust was recognized by the Health Service Journal as one of the top hundred NHS trusts to work for in 2015. It had a staff of 2,604 full-time equivalents at that time, with a sickness absence rate of 3.86%. 78% of staff recommended it as a place for treatment and 76% recommended it as a place to work.[2]
In May 2016, the trust implemented the Cerner Millennium electronic patient record system.[3] It was also selected by NHS England as one of twelve Global Digital Exemplars in September 2016.[4]
