Whitemarsh Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The township was founded in 1704 and is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Whitemarsh Township has a rich history dating back to the early 18th century. It played a significant role during the American Revolutionary War, particularly during the Battle of White Marsh in 1777. The township's name is derived from the white marshes that were prevalent in the area during its early settlement.

Whitemarsh Township covers a total area of 14.6 square miles, of which 14.5 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water. The township is characterized by its rolling hills, open spaces, and suburban residential areas. It is bordered by Plymouth Township, Springfield Township, and Upper Dublin Township.
