Winthrop House
Winthrop House is one of the twelve undergraduate residential houses at Harvard University. Located along the banks of the Charles River, Winthrop House is known for its rich history, vibrant community, and notable alumni.

Winthrop House was established in 1931 as part of Harvard's House system, which was designed to provide a more intimate and supportive living environment for undergraduates. The house is named after two prominent figures in Massachusetts history: John Winthrop, the first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, and his descendant, John Winthrop, a professor at Harvard and a noted scientist.
