The Yale University Library is the library system of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Established in 1701, it is one of the largest academic libraries in the world, with a collection of over 15 million volumes. The library system comprises 15 individual libraries, each specializing in different fields of study.

The Yale University Library was founded in 1701, the same year as the university itself. The library's collection began with a donation of books from Jeremiah Dummer, a Boston merchant. Over the centuries, the library has grown significantly, both in terms of its collection and its physical space.
