Yoshihito, Prince Katsura (勝義親王) was a member of the Japanese imperial family. He was born on 11 February 1948 in Tokyo, Japan. Prince Katsura was the second son of Prince Mikasa and Princess Tomohito of Mikasa. He was the first cousin of Emperor Akihito and a second cousin of the current Emperor Naruhito.

Prince Katsura was known for his interest in the arts, particularly traditional Japanese culture. He studied at Gakushuin University and later pursued further studies in the United Kingdom. He was also involved in various cultural activities and events in Japan.

Despite his royal status, Prince Katsura lived a relatively private life compared to other members of the imperial family. He was not directly in line to the Chrysanthemum Throne, which allowed him more freedom in his pursuits.

Tragically, Prince Katsura passed away on 8 June 2014 at the age of 66. His death was mourned by the Japanese people, and he was remembered for his contributions to the preservation of Japanese culture.
