Zhengzhou is the capital and largest city of Henan Province in the central part of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the National Central Cities in China, serving as a political, economic, technological, and educational center of the province, as well as a major transportation hub for Central China. The city lies on the southern bank of the Yellow River, and is also one of the Eight Great Ancient Capitals of China.

Zhengzhou has a rich history that dates back to more than 3,500 years. It was the capital of the Shang dynasty, one of the earliest recorded dynasties in Chinese history.
