Background[edit | edit source]

The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the five Nobel Prizes established by the will of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite, in 1895. It is awarded annually to individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to peace. The prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway, and is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the world.
