Añasco, Puerto Rico
Añasco, officially known as the Municipality of Añasco, is a town and municipality located along the western coast of Puerto Rico. Established in 1733 by Don Luis de Añasco, the town is nestled in the coastal plains of the western region, bordered by the municipalities of Mayagüez to the north, San Sebastián, Las Marías, and Moca to the east, Rincón, Aguada, and Aguadilla to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the south. Añasco is part of the Mayagüez Metropolitan Statistical Area and is known for its contributions to Puerto Rican culture, history, and its economy, particularly in agriculture and manufacturing.
