AJ MacGinty
AJ MacGinty (born 26 February 1990) is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Bristol Bears in the Gallagher Premiership. He has also represented the United States national rugby union team internationally.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
MacGinty was born in Dublin, Ireland. He attended Blackrock College, a well-known rugby school in Dublin, where he developed his skills in the sport. After completing his secondary education, he went on to study at Dublin City University.
Club Career[edit | edit source]
Connacht[edit | edit source]
MacGinty began his professional career with Connacht in the Pro14 league. He joined the team in 2015 and quickly made an impact with his accurate kicking and game management skills. During his time with Connacht, he helped the team secure their first-ever Pro12 title in the 2015-2016 season.
Sale Sharks[edit | edit source]
In 2016, MacGinty signed with the Sale Sharks in the English Premiership. Over the next several seasons, he became a key player for the team, known for his reliable kicking and playmaking abilities. He amassed over 500 points during his tenure with the Sharks.
