AMDA-Nepal

AMDA-Nepal (Association of Medical Doctors of Asia-Nepal) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to providing healthcare services and conducting health-related activities in Nepal. It was established in 1989 as a chapter of AMDA-International, Japan.

AMDA-Nepal was established in 1989, following the Jyotipur disaster, a devastating fire incident in the squatter settlement of Jyotipur, Kathmandu. The organization was formed by a group of Nepalese medical doctors who were inspired by the humanitarian work of AMDA-International in Japan.

AMDA-Nepal conducts various health-related activities, including emergency relief, health education, and community health programs. The organization also operates health clinics and hospitals in rural areas of Nepal, providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities.
