ARCH Air Medical Service
ARCH Air Medical Service is a medical air transport service based in the United States. It provides critical care air ambulance services in Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa, and is one of the largest air medical services in the United States.
History[edit]
ARCH Air Medical Service was established in 1979, making it one of the oldest air medical services in the United States. It was initially a single helicopter operation based in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the years, the service has expanded to include multiple bases across three states.
Services[edit]
ARCH Air Medical Service provides emergency medical services (EMS) via air transport. This includes patient transport, emergency medical evacuation, and critical care services. The service operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and is capable of transporting patients to any hospital within its service area.
The service's fleet consists of Eurocopter EC135 and Bell 407 helicopters, both of which are equipped with advanced medical equipment and staffed by highly trained paramedics and nurses.
Training and Safety[edit]
Safety is a top priority for ARCH Air Medical Service. All pilots and medical staff undergo rigorous training and regular safety drills. The service also has a dedicated safety officer who oversees all safety-related matters.
In addition to its safety measures, ARCH Air Medical Service also places a strong emphasis on training. All medical staff are required to complete a comprehensive training program that includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training.
