Absinthe spoon

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

An absinthe spoon is a specialized utensil that is used in the traditional preparation of absinthe, a strong, anise-flavored spirit. The spoon is typically made of metal and has a long handle with a flat, slotted bowl on the end. The spoon is placed over the glass of absinthe, and a sugar cube is placed on the spoon. Cold water is then dripped over the sugar, which dissolves and mixes with the absinthe to create the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor.
