Acres
Acres is a unit of area commonly used in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries that have historical ties to the British Empire. It is primarily used to measure large plots of land, such as farms, estates, and parks.

The acre has its origins in the Middle Ages and was originally defined as the amount of land that could be plowed in one day by a yoke of oxen. The term "acre" is derived from the Old English word "æcer," which means "field."

- 1/640 of a square mile
- Approximately 0.4047 hectares
