Hectare
Hectare is a unit of area measurement equal to 10,000 square meters, primarily used in the measurement of land. The term is derived from the Greek words "hekaton" meaning hundred and "are" a unit of area. It is a non-SI metric unit, accepted for use with the International System of Units (SI).

A hectare is defined as the area of a square with sides of 100 meters, which is equivalent to 1/100th of a square kilometer. It is commonly used in land measurement for fields, forests, and municipal parks around the world.
