Adão (footballer)

Adão Italo Renato Barros Carneiro, known simply as Adão, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Born on 1st January 1986 in Fortaleza, Brazil, Adão has had a diverse career in football, playing for several clubs in Brazil and abroad.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Adão was born and raised in Fortaleza, a city in northeastern Brazil. His passion for football began at a young age, and he joined his first youth club, Ferroviário, at the age of 14. He made his professional debut for the club in 2004.

Club Career[edit | edit source]

Adão's club career has seen him play for several teams in Brazil and abroad. After his stint with Ferroviário, he moved to Icasa, another club in his home state of Ceará. He then had a brief spell with Atlético Paranaense before moving to Europe to play for Paços de Ferreira in Portugal.

In 2011, Adão returned to Brazil to play for CRB, and then moved to Náutico in 2012. He has since played for several other clubs, including Bahia, Chapecoense, and Vitória.

International Career[edit | edit source]

While Adão has not represented Brazil at the senior international level, he has been a part of the Brazil U20 team, participating in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship.

Style of Play[edit | edit source]

Adão is known for his technical skills, vision, and ability to control the midfield. His playing style has been compared to that of other Brazilian midfielders such as Zico and Sócrates.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Adão is married and has two children. He is known for his philanthropic efforts, often participating in charity matches and events in his hometown of Fortaleza.
