Adam Noah Levine (born March 18, 1979) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the pop rock band Maroon 5.
Early life[edit | edit source]
Adam Levine was born in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Fred Levine, the founder of the retail chain M. Fredric, and Patsy Noah. Levine has a brother, Michael, and two half-siblings, Sam and Liza Levine.
Career[edit | edit source]
Kara's Flowers[edit | edit source]
Levine began his musical career in 1994 with the band Kara's Flowers, where he was the lead vocalist and guitarist. The band released their first album, The Fourth World, in 1997, but it was not commercially successful, leading the band to disband.
Maroon 5[edit | edit source]
In 2001, Levine reformed the band with a new lineup and a new name, Maroon 5. The band released their debut album, Songs About Jane, in 2002, which became a major commercial success. The album included hit singles such as "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", and "She Will Be Loved".
Maroon 5 has since released several successful albums, including It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007), Hands All Over (2010), Overexposed (2012), V (2014), Red Pill Blues (2017), and Jordi (2021).

Levine has also ventured into television and film. He served as a coach on the reality talent show The Voice from 2011 to 2019. He made his acting debut in the television series American Horror Story: Asylum in 2012 and appeared in the film Begin Again in 2013.
Personal life[edit | edit source]
Levine married Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo in 2014. The couple has two daughters, Dusty Rose and Gio Grace.
Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
Levine is involved in various charitable activities. He is an advocate for LGBT rights and has supported organizations such as The Trevor Project and It Gets Better Project.
