Air Evac Lifeteam is an American air ambulance service provider that operates in 15 states. The company was founded in 1985 in West Plains, Missouri, with the goal of providing rapid medical transport to rural communities. Today, Air Evac Lifeteam is part of the Global Medical Response family of companies and is the largest independently owned and operated membership-supported air medical service in the United States.

Air Evac Lifeteam was established in 1985 by a group of local citizens in West Plains, Missouri. The company was created to address the lack of rapid medical services in rural areas of the United States. Over the years, Air Evac Lifeteam has expanded its operations to include more than 140 bases across 15 states.

Services[edit | edit source]

Air Evac Lifeteam provides emergency medical services (EMS) via helicopter to critically ill or injured patients. The company's helicopters are staffed by a pilot, a flight nurse, and a flight paramedic. The medical crew is trained to provide advanced life support and trauma care at the scene of an emergency or during transport to a hospital.

Air Evac Lifeteam offers a membership program that covers the cost of air medical transport for members who experience a life- or limb-threatening emergency. The membership fee is paid annually and covers the member, their spouse, and their dependent children.

Fleet[edit | edit source]

Air Evac Lifeteam operates a fleet of Bell 206 and Bell 407 helicopters. These aircraft are equipped with advanced medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and medication pumps.
