Aleksey Nikolayevich Lovchev (born 13 June 1989) is a Russian weightlifter competing in the super heavyweight category (+105 kg). He is known for his achievements in international weightlifting competitions and has set several world records in his career.

Aleksey Lovchev was born in Syzran, Soviet Union. He began weightlifting at a young age and quickly showed promise in the sport. Lovchev trained under the guidance of experienced coaches and gradually made his way through the ranks of national and international competitions.

Lovchev's most notable achievement came at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships held in Houston, Texas, United States. During this competition, he set a new world record in the clean and jerk with a lift of 264 kg and a total world record of 475 kg. These records were significant milestones in the sport of weightlifting.

In December 2015, Lovchev tested positive for the banned substance ipamorelin, a growth hormone-releasing peptide. As a result, he was stripped of his world records and received a four-year ban from the sport by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).
