Amelia Lily Oliver (born 16 October 1994) is an English singer and television personality. She gained prominence after finishing third on the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011. Following the show, she signed a record deal with Xenomania and released her debut single, "You Bring Me Joy", which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart.

Amelia Lily was born in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, England. She attended Teesside High School and developed an interest in music at a young age. She began performing in local talent shows and events, which led to her auditioning for The X Factor in 2011.

2011: The X Factor[edit | edit source]
In 2011, Amelia Lily auditioned for the eighth series of The X Factor. She was mentored by Kelly Rowland and quickly became a fan favorite. Despite being eliminated in the first live show, she was brought back as a wildcard entry and eventually finished in third place.
2012–2014: Debut single and album[edit | edit source]
After The X Factor, Amelia Lily signed a record deal with Xenomania. Her debut single, "You Bring Me Joy", was released in 2012 and reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. She followed this with the singles "Shut Up (and Give Me Whatever You Got)" and "Party Over". Her debut album, Be a Fighter, was scheduled for release in 2013 but was ultimately shelved.
2015–present: Theatre and television[edit | edit source]
In 2015, Amelia Lily transitioned to musical theatre, starring in the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She also appeared in the musical American Idiot. In 2017, she joined the cast of the reality television series Celebrity Big Brother, finishing in second place.
Personal life[edit | edit source]
Amelia Lily has been open about her struggles with type 1 diabetes, which she was diagnosed with at the age of three. She is an advocate for diabetes awareness and has participated in various charity events to support the cause.
