Anirban Basu is an Indian-American economist and public speaker. He is known for his work in the field of economic analysis and forecasting. Basu is the Chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, an economic and policy consulting firm based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Anirban Basu was born in India and later moved to the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service. He then pursued a Master of Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. Basu also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

Basu began his career as an economist and quickly gained recognition for his expertise in economic analysis and forecasting. He has served as an economic advisor to numerous organizations, including the Maryland Department of Transportation, the Baltimore City Public Schools, and the Baltimore Development Corporation.
