Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson (born 7 April 1991), known professionally as Anne-Marie, is an English singer and songwriter. She has achieved several charting singles on the UK Singles Chart, including "Alarm", "Ciao Adios", "Friends", "2002", and "Don't Play". Her debut studio album, Speak Your Mind, was released in 2018 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart.

Anne-Marie was born and raised in East Tilbury, Essex. She attended St Clere's School and later went to Palmer's College in Thurrock. From a young age, she was involved in performing arts, including karate, in which she holds a black belt.

2013–2015: Early career and breakthrough[edit | edit source]
Anne-Marie's music career began in 2013 when she appeared on two tracks on Magnetic Man's album Magnetic Man. She then featured on Rudimental's album We the Generation in 2015, which helped her gain recognition.
2016–2018: Speak Your Mind[edit | edit source]
In 2016, Anne-Marie released her debut single "Alarm", which became a top 20 hit in the UK. She followed this with "Ciao Adios" in 2017, which also charted in the top 10. Her collaboration with Marshmello, "Friends", was released in 2018 and became an international hit. Her debut album, Speak Your Mind, was released in April 2018 and included several successful singles.
2019–present: Therapy and continued success[edit | edit source]
In 2021, Anne-Marie released her second studio album, Therapy. The album features collaborations with artists such as Niall Horan, KSI, and Little Mix. The lead single, "Don't Play", with KSI and Digital Farm Animals, reached number two on the UK Singles Chart.

Anne-Marie has been open about her struggles with mental health, including anxiety and depression. She is also known for her advocacy for LGBT rights and mental health awareness.
