Annette Chalut
Annette Chalut (born 29 April 1924) is a French resistance fighter and Holocaust survivor. She is known for her involvement in the French Resistance during World War II and her subsequent imprisonment in the Ravensbrück concentration camp.

Annette Chalut was born in Paris, France, on 29 April 1924. She grew up in a Jewish family and experienced the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe during the 1930s.
World War II and the French Resistance[edit | edit source]
During World War II, Chalut joined the French Resistance, a movement that opposed the Nazi occupation of France. She was involved in various activities, including the distribution of anti-Nazi propaganda and assisting in the escape of Jews and other persecuted individuals.
Arrest and Imprisonment[edit | edit source]
In 1943, Chalut was arrested by the Gestapo and deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, a camp primarily for women. Despite the harsh conditions, she survived the ordeal and was liberated in 1945.
