Antonio Giordano is an Italian-American pathologist and geneticist known for his contributions to cancer research and molecular biology. He is the founder and director of the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Antonio Giordano was born in Naples, Italy. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Naples Federico II, where he developed an interest in the field of oncology. Giordano later moved to the United States to further his studies and research in cancer biology.

Giordano's career in the United States began with his work at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where he collaborated with renowned scientists in the field of genetics. He later joined the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where he continued his research on the molecular mechanisms of cancer.
