Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Aquaman. It is intended to be a sequel to the 2018 film Aquaman and the fourteenth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by James Wan and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

The plot of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is currently under wraps, but it is expected to continue the story of Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman, as he navigates his dual identity as the king of Atlantis and a superhero. The film will likely explore new underwater realms and introduce new characters from the DC Comics universe.

Principal photography for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom began in mid-2021. The production took place in various locations, including Australia and the United Kingdom.

The film is expected to feature extensive visual effects to bring the underwater world of Atlantis to life. Industrial Light & Magic and other VFX companies are involved in the production.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2022. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
