Archduchess Clementina of Austria (April 1, 1798 – March 3, 1881) was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine by birth and through her marriage to Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany, she became the Grand Duchess of Tuscany.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Clementina was born in Florence, in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, on April 1, 1798. She was the daughter of Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Theresa of Naples and Sicily.
Marriage and Family[edit | edit source]
On May 16, 1817, Clementina married Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany. The couple had one daughter, Maria Theresa, who later became the Queen of Saxony.
Later Life and Death[edit | edit source]
After the death of her husband in 1870, Clementina lived in Vienna until her own death on March 3, 1881.
