Archibald E. Olpp (May 12, 1882 – July 26, 1949) was an American physician and politician who served as a U.S. Representative from New Jersey. He was a member of the Republican Party.

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

Olpp was born in New York City, New York. He attended the public schools and graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 1904. He was licensed to practice medicine in 1905 and began his medical career in West Hoboken, New Jersey.

Medical career[edit | edit source]

Olpp served as a physician in various capacities. He was a member of the medical staff of the Union Hill Hospital and the North Hudson Hospital. He also served as a medical examiner for the Prudential Insurance Company.

Political career[edit | edit source]

Olpp was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-seventh Congress (March 4, 1921 – March 3, 1923). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1922 to the Sixty-eighth Congress.

Later life and death[edit | edit source]

After his term in Congress, Olpp resumed his medical practice. He died in Edgewater, New Jersey, on July 26, 1949, and was interred in Fairview Cemetery.

Olpp's contributions to both medicine and politics are remembered in the context of early 20th-century American history. His career reflects the intersection of healthcare and public service during that period.
