Australian Rotary Health
Australian Rotary Health is a non-profit organization that provides funding for health research and education in Australia. It is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia.
History[edit]
Australian Rotary Health was established in 1981 by the Rotary Club of Mornington. Initially, the organization was set up to fund research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Over the years, the focus of the organization has expanded to include a broader range of health problems, particularly those that affect Australians.
Funding[edit]
Australian Rotary Health provides funding in several ways. The organization offers scholarships for medical and nursing students, as well as funding for research projects. The main focus of the organization's research funding is on mental health, but it also provides funding for research into a wide range of other health issues.
Mental Health Research[edit]
One of the key areas of focus for Australian Rotary Health is mental health research. The organization has funded numerous research projects in this area, with a particular emphasis on mental health issues that affect young people. Some of the specific areas of mental health research that Australian Rotary Health has funded include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
Community Engagement[edit]
In addition to its research funding, Australian Rotary Health also engages with the community through a range of programs and initiatives. These include mental health awareness campaigns, community education programs, and fundraising events.
