Back-Up Trust
Back-Up Trust is a non-profit organization that provides support and information to people with spinal cord injury and their families. The organization was founded in 1986 by Mike Nemesvary, a former champion skier who sustained a spinal cord injury.

The Back-Up Trust was established in 1986 by Mike Nemesvary, a world champion freestyle skier who sustained a spinal cord injury during a skiing accident. After his injury, Nemesvary was determined to help others in similar situations and thus, the Back-Up Trust was born.

The Back-Up Trust offers a variety of services to individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families. These services include:
- Peer Support: The organization provides peer support to individuals with spinal cord injuries. This support is provided by individuals who have themselves experienced a spinal cord injury and can offer advice and guidance based on their own experiences.
- Mentoring: The Back-Up Trust offers a mentoring program that pairs individuals with spinal cord injuries with mentors who can provide support and guidance.
- Courses and Activities: The organization offers a variety of courses and activities designed to help individuals with spinal cord injuries regain confidence and independence. These courses and activities include wheelchair skills training, outdoor activities, and vocational training.
