Bamberg is a city located in Bamberg County, South Carolina, United States. It is part of the Orangeburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is known for its rich history, charming architecture, and southern hospitality.

Bamberg was originally settled in the 1850s by William Seaborn Bamberg and his family. The city was incorporated in 1897 and named after the Bamberg family. It has a rich history that is reflected in its well-preserved architecture and historic sites.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Bamberg is located in the southern part of South Carolina. It is approximately 60 miles south of Columbia, the state capital, and about 90 miles northwest of Charleston.
