- Barrett is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Harris County, Texas, United States. The city is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. It is named after Oscar Barrett, a local rancher who was instrumental in the area's development.

- Barrett was established in the early 20th century when the railroad was extended to that point. The city was named for Oscar Barrett, who had provided land for the railroad depot.

- Barrett is located at 29°52′25″N 95°3′14″W (29.873611, -95.053889). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.1 km²), all of it land.
