Barrow County is a county located in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 83,505. The county seat is Winder.

Barrow County was created on July 7, 1914, from parts of Gwinnett, Jackson, and Walton counties. It was named after David Crenshaw Barrow Jr., who was the chancellor of the University of Georgia from 1906 to 1925.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 163 square miles (420 km²), of which 160 square miles (410 km²) is land and 3.0 square miles (7.8 km²) (1.8%) is water.

As of the 2020 United States census, there were 83,505 people, 28,633 households, and 21,345 families residing in the county. The population density was 521.9 inhabitants per square mile (201.5/km²).

Barrow County is served by the Barrow County School District, which includes several elementary, middle, and high schools. The county is also home to the Barrow County Campus of Lanier Technical College.
