Bhimavaram is a city in the West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of the Bhimavaram mandal in the Naraspur revenue division. The city is a part of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and is classified as a Special Grade Municipality.

The name "Bhimavaram" is derived from the name of the Pandava prince Bhima, who is believed to have visited the place during the Mahabharata era.
