Blue Crush is a 2002 American sports film directed by John Stockwell. The film stars Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, Sanoe Lake, and Mika Boorem. It is based on the 1998 Outside magazine article "Life's Swell" by Susan Orlean.

The story follows Anne Marie Chadwick (played by Kate Bosworth), a young and talented surfer living in Hawaii. Anne Marie is determined to make a comeback in the competitive surfing world after a near-drowning incident. She lives with her rebellious younger sister, Penny Chadwick (played by Mika Boorem), and her two best friends, Eden (played by Michelle Rodriguez) and Lena (played by Sanoe Lake).

Anne Marie works as a maid at a luxury resort to support herself and her sister. She trains rigorously for the Pipe Masters, a prestigious surfing competition held at the Banzai Pipeline. Her life takes a turn when she meets Matt Tollman (played by Matthew Davis), a professional football player staying at the resort. As Anne Marie and Matt develop a romantic relationship, she struggles to balance her personal life with her ambition to succeed in the surfing world.
