Bowlegs

Bowlegs, also known as genu varum, is a condition where the legs curve outward at the knees while the feet and ankles touch. This condition is common in infants and usually corrects itself as they grow. However, if it persists, it may require medical attention.

Other causes include Rickets, a vitamin D deficiency that affects bone development, and Blount's Disease, a growth disorder of the shin bone. Preventing bowlegs involves addressing the underlying causes. Ensuring adequate vitamin D intake through diet or supplementation can prevent Rickets. Regular monitoring of children's leg development can help identify conditions like Blount's Disease early on.
