Brendon Boyd Urie (born April 12, 1987) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and sole remaining original member of the pop rock band Panic! at the Disco.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Brendon Urie was born in St. George, Utah, and later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he attended Palo Verde High School. During his high school years, he met future bandmate Spencer Smith in a guitar class, which eventually led to the formation of Panic! at the Disco.

Panic! at the Disco[edit | edit source]

Panic! at the Disco was formed in 2004 by Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, and Brent Wilson. The band gained significant attention with their debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, which featured the hit single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". Over the years, the band's lineup changed multiple times, with Urie becoming the only original member by 2015.

Under Urie's leadership, Panic! at the Disco released several successful albums, including Pretty. Odd., Vices & Virtues, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, and Death of a Bachelor. The band's music evolved over time, incorporating various genres such as pop punk, baroque pop, and alternative rock.

In addition to his work with Panic! at the Disco, Brendon Urie has collaborated with various artists and contributed to several projects. He has worked with Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, and Lil Dicky, among others. Urie also made his Broadway debut in 2017, starring in the musical Kinky Boots.
