California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is an American casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in California-style pizza. The company was founded in 1985 by attorneys Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax in Beverly Hills, California. CPK is known for its innovative and non-traditional pizzas, such as the BBQ Chicken Pizza, which has become one of its signature dishes.

California Pizza Kitchen was established in 1985 by Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax, who were both former federal prosecutors. The first restaurant opened in Beverly Hills, California, and quickly gained popularity for its unique take on pizza. In 2020, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to financial difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic but emerged from bankruptcy later that year.
