Canadian Cancer Society
Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. The society is the largest national charitable funder of cancer research in Canada.

The Canadian Cancer Society was officially formed in 1938, but its roots go back to 1929 when the Canadian National Committee for Cancer Control was formed. The society was created to provide a national body for the various provincial and local cancer societies that were already in existence.
