Charleys Philly Steaks is an American restaurant chain specializing in Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Founded in 1986 by Charley Shin, the franchise has grown to include over 600 locations in 46 states and 17 countries.

Charleys Philly Steaks was founded by Charley Shin in 1986, after he tasted a Philly cheesesteak sandwich during a trip to Philadelphia. Inspired by the flavors, he decided to bring the sandwich to his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. The first Charleys Philly Steaks restaurant was opened near the campus of The Ohio State University.
