Chelsea, Michigan is a city in Washtenaw County, Michigan, United States. Located within Sylvan Township, it is known for its vibrant arts scene, diverse community, and the historic Chelsea Milling Company, home of the world-famous Jiffy Mix.

Chelsea was established as a village in 1850 by settlers from New England. It was incorporated as a city in 2004. The city's name is believed to have been inspired by the town of Chelsea in London, England.

Chelsea is located at the edge of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, approximately 15 miles west of Ann Arbor. The city covers an area of 3.98 square miles, of which 3.93 square miles is land and 0.05 square miles is water.
