Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is a large hospital located in the Chelsea district of London, England. It is managed by the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital was officially opened in 1993, replacing two older hospitals, St Stephen's Hospital and Westminster Hospital. The new hospital was built on the site of the former St Stephen's Hospital.

Services[edit | edit source]

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital provides a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, maternity services, and specialist services such as HIV care and burns treatment. The hospital is also a teaching hospital, affiliated with Imperial College London.

Facilities[edit | edit source]

The hospital has over 430 inpatient beds, as well as a number of outpatient clinics. Facilities include a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, a dedicated burns unit, and a specialist HIV clinic. The hospital also has a helipad for emergency air ambulance services.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is involved in a number of research projects, particularly in the fields of HIV and sexual health. The hospital's research is supported by the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College London.
