Cherry RC
Cherry RC is a cherry-flavored soft drink produced by the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. It is a variant of the original RC Cola, and its main characteristic is the added cherry flavor.
History[edit | edit source]
Cherry RC was introduced in the 1980s as a response to the popularity of cherry-flavored sodas. The Dr Pepper Snapple Group, known for its wide range of soft drink flavors, saw an opportunity to expand the RC Cola line with a cherry variant.
Flavor and Ingredients[edit | edit source]
The primary flavor of Cherry RC is, as the name suggests, cherry. This is combined with the traditional cola flavor of RC Cola. The exact recipe is proprietary, but like most soft drinks, Cherry RC contains carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, and caffeine.
Reception and Popularity[edit | edit source]
Cherry RC has a dedicated fan base, particularly in the United States where it is most widely available. It is often compared to other cherry-flavored colas, such as Cherry Coke and Wild Cherry Pepsi.
